The Public Works Department is divided into several divisions including Administration, Sanitation, Streets, and Animal Control with 40 full and part-time employees.

Administration Division - provides centralized administration of all other operating divisions of the department and provides in-house planning, design and engineering services for infrastructure improvements throughout the community.

Sanitation Division - is responsible for residential and commercial solid waste collection, weekly residential and commercial recycling programs, leaf and brush collection, and cemetery maintenance.

Street Division - provides maintenance and construction services including the installation and repair of streets, stormwater management structures, pavement marking and signage, removal of debris, snow and ice from road surfaces, and right-of-way mowing.

In 2003 the City of Tullahoma was mandated to participate in the NPDES Phase 2 Stormwater program. Click here to view the City's stormwater program.

Animal Control Division - maintains the city animal shelter and is responsible for enforcing the animal control laws within the City. This division strives to place the animals for adoption. Click here to see pets available for adoption.
