911 for police emergencies
The
mission of the Tullahoma Police Department is to protect life
and property through professional law enforcement. The Department
employs 36 sworn officers, 4 public service officers and six
reserve officers dedicated to carrying out its mission. Officers
patrol 27 area miles encompassing 8,800 residences, 742 businesses
and 600 miles of roadway. TPD officers are required to complete
the Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy's eight-week basic police
training course or provide proof of comparable training acceptable
to the State within the first year of employment. They must
then complete forty hours of inservice training each year
thereafter.
The Department is located at
201 W. Grundy Street, Tullahoma, and is open 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. A Public Service Officer is on duty at
all times to answer questions, provide information and assist
in obtaining accident and offense reports. The Department
also maintains a full administrative staff for special community
oriented programs and projects, including Crimestoppers, R.A.D.,
Bike Patrol, and Neighborhood Watch. Officers also participate
in the local Special Olympics and Tip-A-Cop fundraiser.

All calls for service are dispatched from the Coffee County
Consolidated Communication Center located at 911 Jack Welch
Drive, Manchester, TN. If your call is of an emergency nature
call 911. Calls for non-emergency service should be directed
to the Com Center at 455-3411.
